The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada extends sincere thanks to everyone who participated in the 2011-2012 contest, and to all the educators who encouraged their students to participate. We are very pleased with our results this year, with video entries submitted from all across Canada!

This year, our categories were Privacy Issues Related to: cybersecurity, mobile devices, online gaming and social networking. You can view the winners in each category here.

We would also like to thank Encounters with Canada, and the students who participated in its Politics in Canada week. On March 28th, these students, from schools all across Canada, viewed our finalist videos and chose the winners. The winning artists received gift cards totalling $350; the second-place artists received gift cards totalling $200; and third-place artists received gift cards totalling $100.
